CPU - central processor unit - "brain" of a computer, it distinguishes and carries out commands and the programs, sets to a computer, reads out and writes down the information in memory, transfers commands to other parts of a computer. From as far as the powerful processor is established in a computer, its productivity depends on in many respects.
With external devices the processor can exchange the data due to the general trunk which structure includes trunks of the address, data and management. Word length of the trunk can be - 8, 16, 32, 64. The processor can carry out four basic mathematical actions: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division above binary numbers, and, besides operations of computer logic: comparison, conditional transition and recurrence.
